Nyholm - expansion of the Naval Academy

The drafting office has won the competition for the construction of a new building for the Danish Naval Academy at Holmen, the old Naval Yard in Copenhagen. The building is an extension of the existing, preservation-worthy 1930s’ aulaskole, a type of open-plan school in which the classrooms and special-subject rooms were based around the large assembly hall. The new building work includes a number of teaching rooms and two auditoria, and by virtue of its position it forms a unifying space for the buildings of the academy. The project will be implemented as a trial project in terms of object-oriented project design and digital tendering.
