The Third Treasury at Rosenborg palace

Erik Møller Arkitekter have fitted out the Third Treasury in the northernmost half of the cellar at Rosenborg Castle, formerly a wine cellar.

The Treasury houses exhibition rooms for an extensive ivory, amber and weaponry collection that used to be inappropriately displayed elsewhere at the castle or stored in repositories. Erik Møller Arkitekter have overseen the architectural restoration of the rooms and in association with Kvorning design & kommunikation the display cases and lighting were executed as special assignments.

In conjunction with the project an extensive alarm system was installed together with a climate control system in the showcases and rooms.
